Introduction
Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel provide hotel and catering services in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions, and with the period and details as confirmed on the reservation. Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel are not liable for circumstances caused by conditions beyond its control, including wars, acts of terrorism, riots, strikes, natural disasters, sanitary disruptions, restrictions by local authorities etc.
Booking and Payment
Inquiries and booking can be done via our web site, by mail or in person at the the hotel reception. When booking, the customer confirms that she/he accepts these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. Everything stated hereafter becomes legally binding both for the customer and Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel. When booking, the customer is required to give all the information necessary during the booking procedure. When booking, the customer is required either to pay an advance, or provide a valid credit card as a payment guaranty, depending on the method of payment. The balance of the service cost is payable at the hotel reception prior to departure of the customer. The bookings made online or via mail are valid only after the sales office confirms in written that the reservation is accepted. The confirmation mail has to be presented at check in.
Sojourn Tax
According to the Croatian Tourist tax Law, the customers are required to pay the sojourn tax when paying for their accommodation. The Tourist tax in the Republic of Croatia varies from destination to destination and travel period. Children from the age of 12 to 18 have a 50% discount, while children under the age of 12 are exempt from paying. The amount of the sojourn tax to be paid, is payable together with the balance of the cost. The amount of the sojourn tax paid will be clearly specified on the invoice issued by the service provider.
The Service Rates
The price of the services includes the basic service per person/night or per unit/night as described in the price list. Additional services are not included in the price of accommodation, therefore the customer pays for them separately. These services must be requested at the time of booking. Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel reserve the right to change the prices of service at any time. For customers who have paid an advance for their reservation, or provided acceptable reservation guarantee, Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel guarantee accommodation rates valid at the time of booking.
Categorization & Service Description
Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel accommodation units are categorized and described in accordance with the official categorization of the Croatian Ministry of Tourism and its authorized agencies.
Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel’s Right to Change and Cancel
Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel reserve the right to change or modify a reservation in case of circumstances caused by conditions beyond its control that cannot be predicted, avoided or rectified. Confirmed accommodation unit can be substituted by an accommodation unit of the same or higher category and at the price confirmed at the time of booking, provided that customer is notified in advance. In cases where substitute accommodation unit is not available, and the accommodation is paid in advance, Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel reserve the right to cancel the reservation and refund the complete amount paid.
Customer’s Right to Change and Cancel
If the customer wishes to change or cancel a reservation, this must be done in written form. In case of cancellation the cancellation policy will be applied as follows:
– for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to arrival Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel reserve the right to charge guests for a 30 % of reservation value.
– for “NO SHOW” situation, or cancellations during the use of the accommodation, Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel reserve the right to charge guests for tthe 100 % of reservation value.
Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel’s Obligations
It is Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel’s obligation to take care of provided services, hosts, and customers’ interests and rights according to accepted customs and practices in tourism. Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel will carry out all stated obligations in full and as described above, except in circumstances caused by conditions beyond its control.
Customer’s Obligations
The customer is required: to have valid travel documents, to act in accordance with the house rules in accommodation units. It is customers duty to check whether a visa or other travel certificates are required by the Croatian immigration authorities, for the citizens of country of her/his origin.
Check-in and Check-out Time
The check in time is 15:00, bill needs to be cleared by 10:00 and the check out time is 10:00. If the customer fails to check out by the above stated check out time, extra charges will apply.
Luggage
Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel are not responsible for damaged, destroyed or lost luggage, as well as for the theft of luggage or valuables in the areas accessible to general public. Lost luggage or stolen goods should be reported without delay to the reception and the local police department.
Materials from the Web Site
With explicite written approval, any reproduction, copying, or distribution of design and/or technical background of Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel web pages is strictly forbidden. This applies also to individual elements of web pages and Liberty Hotel and Liberty Plaza Hotel logo design. Unless otherwise agreed upon, all documents, date and information published on the web pages are for personal use only, with full and due respect for all copyrights and ownership rights, as well as the rights of all third parties.
Court Jurisdiction
Any disagreements that may arise from these Terms and Conditions should be settled in friendly manner, and if that is not possible, it will be subject to settlement by the Court in Novalja.
